what is the best hotel in downtown Atlanta?
My family are going to an Atlanta Falcons game in December and we have never been to Atlanta and would like to stay near Georgia Dome.

- Closest to the dome is the Omni, nice hotel but small rooms, the next closest is the embassy suites. The Westin is nice, pretty close, the best is the Four Seasons, 2 miles away.
- Try Midtown rather than downtown. Four Seasons is nice and close to several good restaurants. I'd pass on the Omni. Hope you enjoy your visit to Atlanta!
- I prefer either the Hilton or the Westin. If you stay at the Hilton, get a floor high up that faces northbound - the view is BEAUTIFUL!!! The Westin is cool too, but really only if you visit the restaurant on the top floor - the Sundial. Book now! They're rooms go fast, especially during the holiday season!
- If you want to stay near the Ga dome, try the omni at the cnn center. Its very close to the Dome and very nice, I've been for a conference. It is above a food court. Georgia Tech is located in midtown and not far from the dome. They just opened a hotel/conference center. Its above resturants and near the fox theatre and other local attractions. Also check out the marriot chain. Theres a reniassance in midtown, and more Also the westin is nice as well. Go to expedia and check out what comes up in the midtown or downtown area and you wont be far from the dome.
- Hit the HIlton all the way...warm comfortable room, service is outstanding.
- My fav is Doubletree
- Marriott Marquise
- i would say the westin on peachtree with the sundial restaurant on the very top floor. on my first visit to ATL thats where i stayed and i loved it. the hotel staff was very helpful. there's a starbucks in the hotel, cafe/bar, restaurant, shop (to get toiletries, snacks, etc.). its right near the CNN builiding with a great McCormick & Schmick restaurant. plenty of restaurants, ATM, fast-food, cabs/taxis in the area. i really did enjoy my stay there. the bedding in the roms have very high thread count linens so it made it seem like i was sleeping on a big fluffy cloud. check it out below
