What are the safe areas near downtown Atlanta to get a hotel room ?

I might be travelling to Atlanta and stay overnight. What are the safest areas where i can find a hotel/motel room for the night for around $50 to $70 ? Neighbourhoods close to downtown would be better of course

1. For that price you won't get a very good hotel especially in downtown Atlanta. There, you'll be able to see specific areas in Atlanta, how many "stars" the hotel has, comments from people who have stayed there and much more. Good luck.
2. You should just go on the highway near downtown and go off an exit, there will be many hotels.
