What area/hotel in atlanta should I stay to be near all of the great nightlife there?

I am a 30 year old african american and I would like to stay in a hotel near the most popular clubs that play r&b music.

1. I would definitely recommend the W in Midtown. It's a very nice and trendy hotel. All of your rappers/ R&B artists/ Celebrities stay there when they're in town and it's got a great bar downstairs that people that aren't even at the hotel like to go to. It's central/ walking distance to all good clubs, bars, and restaurants.
2. Twelve Hotel @ Atlantic Station. Its in Midtown near the hot spots and lots of stars/celebrities live in the condo half of the building. Theres also got a great bars/restaurants in Atlantic Station within walking distance. Clubs in the area are Opera, Lotus Lounge, Strip. One R&B hotspot is not near any good hotel, thats the Velvet Room in Tucker.
