I plan on staying in the downtown area and was just wondering if anyone else on h ere has used Hotwire for hotels in Atlanta.... If so, what hotel(s) did u get... Just want to see the variety that they have since I cant see the hotel until after I book

- I did and stayed at a quite nice Hyatt - I also used hotwire in Washington DC, SF, CA etc and have always been happy with both the price and the quality. You CAN however get a clue on what is available by looking on a different travel site in the same area and compare amenities - you can sometimes get a pretty good idea of what hotel possibilities there are.
- Hotels.com , Priceline , Expedia , Hotwire , etc etc: http://www.stuff4you.biz/hotels That site searches them all . But, I have not used it for hotels in Atlanta.
- The key to success with Hotwire is knowing the zip code of the hotel you want or the area you want to stay in. Downtown Atlanta in the area around Centennial Olympic Park is zip code 30303 and there are 7 four star properties in that zip. All of them excellent choices. So go to Hotwire, and search by zip and select four star or above and you can't miss. Buckhead is north of downtown and that is where the best hotels are located. That zip is 30305. Avoid anything that says airport.
